Art in the Market is a community based art organization that seeks to help revitalize impoverished areas of Cincinnati through helping it identify and utilize some of its own assets, while at the same time providing opportunities for inner city youth.
This year the program will be offered to local youth and taught by graduate assistant,Kelly Langdon, whose background is in both Art History and Fine Art. The program will start in January, go through June 2009 and will consist of after-school sessions twice a week with additional activities and services throughout the year. The first three months will focus on their individual development as artists before collaborating in the last two months in order to plan and install a public work in Corryville.
For more information, contact Kelly Langdon at (513)254-5566 or design.center@uc.edu.
