After moving to its current location on Short Vine Street, UC’s Community Design Center has started putting forth further efforts to understand its ‘uptown’ location and its surroundings. One of these efforts includes the preparation of a database for uptown neighborhoods. Moving forward phase by phase, the Corryville portion of the database is complete, and the Avondale portion is in progress.

The database is composed of parcel and building information that will allow the Design Center to develop further maps to understand the physical, economic, and social composition of the uptown neighborhoods. These maps will also provide a better understanding of the area for current CDC projects and the Niehoff Studio, and also serve as a starting point for future research and projects.
