About OLLI at UC
How much does it cost?
Students pay a membership fee of $80 per quarter (or $225 per year) and then may enroll in multi-week courses for $5 each and one-time programs at no additional charge. Some programs have an extra fee to cover materials, meals, admission, or other costs.
When are classes offered?
Fall Quarter: September 21–November 13, 2015
Winter Quarter: January 19–March 11, 2016
Spring Quarter: April 4–May 27, 2016
Does OLLI offer classes in the summer?
The OLLI Summer Series features 7 lectures on Wednesday mornings in July and August. The fee for the entire series is $10 (in 2015).
When does registration open for each quarter?
Approximately 3 to 4 weeks before the quarter begins. Check the website, watch for the catalog in the mail, sign up to receive the OLLI e-Newsletter, or follow OLLI at University of Cincinnati on Facebook for notification that registration is open.

Where is my classroom?
During the first week of class, stop by the OLLI welcome table at each location to pick up classroom assignments. If you miss the first week of classes, call the office at (513) 556-9186. Classroom assignments are also posted at each location.
Can I take OLLI classes if I have never been to college?
Yes! OLLI classes are open to everyone aged 50 and older. The only prerequisite is a love of learning. Many OLLI members have not been to college.
Will I receive college credit for OLLI classes?
No. OLLI classes are for your personal enrichment. For information about completing a degree, becoming a non-matriculate/non-degree seeking student, or auditing regular UC classes for free, check out the options at Transfer, Transition, and Adult Services at UC.
Are there tests or grades?
No. OLLI classes are for your personal enrichment. Some moderators may suggest outside readings or other assignments to enhance the course content.
Does OLLI offer classes on weekends and evenings?
No. Communiversity at University of Cincinnati offers a wide range of classes on evenings and weekends.
What if I have to miss one or more classes?
There is no penalty for missing classes—except that you will miss out on the information presented that day. If you register for classes that you do not attend, you may prevent another member from filling that place.
What if the class I want to take is closed?
If we can move a class to a larger classroom or add another section, we will reopen the class for registration and notify people on the wait list. Check back on the website, sign up for the OLLI e-Newsletter, or follow OLLI at University of Cincinnati on Facebook to receive notification about reopened classes.
Can I reserve a place in a class before registration begins or before I pay for membership?
No. You must subscribe and register for classes when registration opens each quarter.
