Dr. Bob Hasl, retiree, Friend of OLLI and board member
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Cincinnati is a motivated group. We are one of only 122 institutions across the country to be awarded an Osher Foundation grant. We credit our strength in volunteers, generous support by Friends of OLLI, and large course selection in achieving this remarkable honor. As evidence of our growth, we welcomed our first full-time program director- Dr. Fred Bassett- in 2007.
Our achievements were made possible by Friends of OLLI participants like Dr. Bob Hasl. Bob’s volunteerism and financial leadership help keep OLLI vibrant. The funds we raise keep our cost low and allow us to offer our membership outstanding courses and moderators, special events, materials, equipment, luncheons, and scholarships.
Won’t you consider becoming a Friend of OLLI by making a gift? In doing so, you will join a group of dedicated life-time learners, like yourself. No gift is too small. Your OLLI gift can lead to UC’s Charles McMicken Society membership, which recognizes an annual giving level of $1,000 or more. If you are already a member please accept our sincere thanks. If not, to learn how to become a member and about the benefits (including free OLLI tuition and three hours of free campus parking per visit) just click here. Please consider taking advantage of this opportunity!
Sincerely,
Carol S. Friel

What makes OLLI Great?
It would be hard to find a more enthusiastic and energized group of people than the members of our Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Cincinnati. Volunteers abound. Few ever miss a class. Participation is contagious. We really have a great thing going.
Your classmates who are members of Friends strongly agree. Their contributions make a major difference in your program’s success.
In May 2006, Friends donated $30,000 to the University to insure that OLLI moderators have access to the latest in audio visual and distance learning equipment. The Aaron Levine Memorial Classroom is the first step in our plan to assist Raymond Walters in a major upgrade of our facilities. If you have not seen the classroom, do so. It is exciting to visualize the potential of what the future will bring.
Of course, your gift to Friends is an important factor in enhancing the educational experience of us all. Are you aware that your Friends contributions pay for:
Audio and visual equipment at Raymond Walters, Sycamore Senior Center and Adath Israel.
Parking expense reimbursements of our volunteer moderators at the main campus.
Scholarships for all who wish to attend.
Support of luncheons and special events.
Your generous support, guarantees the OLLI spirit will continue to offer a superb quality program at bargain prices.
OLLI is your “college in retirement.” It is important in your continued growth and enjoyment of life. Please put OLLI high on your charitable priority list. Make your gift today. Your classmates are counting on you.
Friends – Helping to make your “Great Experience” even greater.

Vice Chairman, OLLI Board of Trustees
