The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Cincinnati is growing rapidly. This growth brings with it the need for additional funding to carry out our mission of lifelong learning and social interaction for the mature residents of Greater Cincinnati.
You might be surprised to learn that during OLLI’s last fiscal year, membership and event fees covered just 59 percent of OLLI’s budget, while income from the Osher Endowment covered another 27 percent. That left 14 percent, or nearly $56,000, to be made up through donations from our generous supporters.
While we work to be responsible stewards, provide quality programs, and keep fees low so that all may participate, OLLI’s continued growth brings with it a long shopping list of necessities, including:
- Additional classroom space with sufficient parking
- An expanded scholarship program
- New audiovisual equipment
- Saving to cover costs associated with a potential future move to a new facility
Your tax-deductible donation to the Friends of OLLI through the UC Foundation will enable us to continue and grow this program that is such an important part of your life and lives of your friends and neighbors. Donations of any size are welcome.
