Funded by the U.S. Department of Education, 21st Century Community Learning Center provides academic enrichment opportunities and extra-curricular activities during after school hours for children at Mt. Washington Elementary and the Academy of World Languages.

The after school program, Castle Connections and the Dragon Zone, helps students meet state and local standards in core academic subjects, such as reading and math; offers students a broad array of enrichment activities that complement their regular academic programs and offers resources and other educational services to the families of participating children.
