The Mt. Washington program, Castle Connections, provides Mt. Washington students with enrichment activities that extend their school day, and exposes them to new and exciting opportunities. Castle Connections provides clubs and programming throughout the school year for students in kindergarten through 8th grade. Castle Connections partners with many different local area organizations to provide enriching programming for our students. Examples include Ispace, CCM Prep, Mt. Washington Educational Arts Center, local artist Cedric Cox, and many more!
The Academy of World Languages program, Dragon Zone, engages partners such as Kids Cafe®, a program of Feeding America; the FreestoreFoodbank, Cincinnati Cooks, the True Body Project, Thrivera, the Cincinnati Boy Choir, the Community Arts Initiative, Xavier University Computer Science, the Cincinnati Observatory, the Dan Beard Council of Boy Scouts, and more to provide programming to appeal to all students kindergarten through 8th grade. Students choose to participate based on their interests or are invited for academic support by their teachers. This program is in its final year of funding through the federal 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant.
