Purpose & Mission

The Gen-1 Theme House is a UC residence hall that provides students with a safe, orderly and structured environment in which to live, learn and work.

The mission of the Gen-1 Theme House is to provide first-year, first-generation students with the support needed to make a successful transition from high school to college.

Eligibility

A Gen-1 Theme House freshman resident must be a first-generation, Pell-eligible, full-time student on UC's Main Campus. Students who successfully complete the Gen-1 freshman year experience are eligible to continue in the Gen-1 Program through graduation.
