CECH Annual Holiday Gift Drive!
We are collecting gifts for students in the 8th grade in selected Cincinnati Public Schools. In Cincinnati Public Schools most of the Elementary school buildings are K-8. Often agencies provide gifts for younger children to take home on the last day of school before winter break. This kindness has the unintended consequence of leaving the 8th grade children, who are still young children, though they are they are the oldest in their school, without a gift to carry home. On a day when children ought to be able to feel the joy of receiving, too many older children go without. Please help us brighten the holidays for an 8th grader. They may be harder to deal with. They may be harder to buy for. They are still just children on the last day of school before winter break. Please bring unwrapped gifts or a financial contribution to the CECH Dean’s Office, 410 Teachers College or 5140 Edwards One before Dec. 4, 2009. Checks may be made out to UC Foundation/GEARUP Gift Drive. Gifts to the UC Foundation may be considered a charitable contribution. Join the CECH Tribunal on Dec. 10 for the shopping day as we shop for gifts for the rest of the 8th graders in those schools. Please plan to join us for the Gift Display on Dec. 11. the University of Cincinnati Foundation. Choose Designated Gift and select the College of Education, Criminal Justice and Human Services. Next select from the drop down box to change the Undesignated Gift to (Other) and type Gift Drive. Continue filling out the form and click submit. |
