The Center for English as a Second Language (ESL) is the academic unit which oversees all ESL courses at the University of Cincinnati. The ESL Program provides English language instruction to foreign and immigrant graduate and undergraduate students.

As an academic English language program, we serve the international ESL community by providing a high-quality English language program in an authentic learning environment where students are immersed in academic and social cultures. This training will help students make a smoother transition into life and work in North America.

Some of the courses that we provide on a quarterly basis include Improving Pronunciation, Oral Presentation Skills, Editing Skills for ESL Students, and Introduction to Academic Writing.
