Dr. Ehrlich's research includes her dissertation work examining teaching American Sign Language using videoconferencing technology, as well as the integration of technologies in interpreter education curricula. She is a nationally certified interpreter (CI and NAD IV) and developed the specialization in Sign Language Interpreting at the University of Cincinnati, which incorporates both synchronous and asynchronous online learning environments. Dr. Ehrlich’s service includes the national Certification Council for the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf and Director of Communications and Technology for the Conference of Interpreter Trainers. She served as co-chair of the journal development committee for the Conference of Interpreter Trainer’s Journal of Interpreter Education. Dr. Ehrlich’s interpreting experiences include platform, medical, educational, and video-relay interpreting.
