eLearning

Mission

Technology enhances teaching and learning when it improves instructor and student engagement, efficiency and effectiveness. CET&L”s approach to eLearning programming fuses pedagogy with best practices in instructional design and technology training.

Faculty are introduced to UC’s learning management system, web conferencing tools, and digital media solutions through the lens of how these technologies improve learning outcomes. They are encouraged to “up their game” through opportunities to integrate increasingly sophisticated eLearning tool integration.

A collaborative training team comprising faculty eLearning champions, instructional designers and instructional technologists customizes workshops on topics relevant to specific colleges or units. The team also develops and refines outcomes for programming.

This collaboration that defines faculty development in UC’s eLearning ecosystem and serves as a model in higher education.
