CASTL PROGRAM

CASTL stands for the Carnegie Academy for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. UC's application to be included in the CASTL Instituional Leadership Program, with an emphasis on Liberal Learning and the Scholarship of Teaching & Learning, was accepted in summer 2006.

CASTL project updates:

• Discussions in June 2008 at St. Jerome's University (affiliated with the Univ. of Waterloo, in Ontario) have focused UC efforts on e-portfolios and on assessment of General Education outcomes.
• Amy Pettigrew and Ellen Lynch will represent UC's participation in the CASTL program when they attend the ISSOTL 2008 conference in Edmonton, Alberta, in October 2008. Follow this link for more conference information.
