Vision
The University of Cincinnati and the Tri-state region are recognized as national leaders in solving community problems and improving urban life.

Mission
The Center for the City at the University of Cincinnati is a window of opportunity for the community and for UC students, faculty, and staff who wish to engage in community interaction and participate in innovative mutually beneficial partnerships.

Goals
The Center for the City will:                                                           

  • Facilitate innovative, productive partnerships that leverage university and community expertise and resources to public benefit;
  • Support the development of service learning and volunteerism among UC faculty, staff, and students;
  • Encourage learning, research, scholarship and action on significant issues related to urban life;
  • Recognize, celebrate and communicate the impact of this work on the quality of life in our region.

An Assessment of the Cincinnati Streetcar Study

 The Center for the City asked UC's Economics Center for Education & Research to evaulate the studies already on the table in regards to the proposed streetcar line in Cincinnati and to draw some conclusions on the vailidity of those studies.  Download a copy of this report.
