During my six month stay in Abu Dhabi, I was on a two month visit visa, and hence had to leave the country every other month. My supervisor told me to take advantage of the time off, and do some traveling. I spent a week in Rome, Italy visiting all of the sights including the Colosseum, St. Peter's Basilica, and more. My hotel wasn't far from the Trevi Fountain, so each night I would spend some time there taking in the culture before going to bed. During this week I took a train to see Pompei, and hike up Mount Vesuvius. Another trip included 3 days in Prague visiting a friend who just graduated and is now there working full-time teaching little kids how to speak English. He showed me around the city, and introduced me to his new friends. This visit was followed by a three day stay in England at an Air Force Base visiting my cousin who is stationed there. We went golfing, and visited some of the nearby towns including Cambridge to see King's College and more.
