Being a co-op for Honda of America Manufacturing in the Product Engineering Test Group, my responsibilities consisted of testing the brand new 2008 Accord. In other words, I was given the keys to a brand new V6 6 speed manual, and was sent to the test track. While hitting speeds of up to 100 mph, I was searching for problems with interior noise, windnoise, roadnoise, and engine performance. While the driving was awesome, at the end of the day, the problems found had to be solved before the next lot of cars were built. Solving the problems was never easy. But after implementing a solution, I was always able to look forward to taking the next new car out on the track and seeing if my solution worked.
