Robert Conyne, Ph.D.

Emeritus Professor of Counseling
Dr. Conyne's area of expertise and interest are in group work, prevention, and ecological approaches to counseling. He was Program Director of the Counseling Program at the University of Cincinnati for many years. Bob is a Fellow of several professional associations (Association for Specialists in Group Work, American Psychological Association, American Psychological Society), Certified (as a Certified Group Psychotherapist, National Certified Counselor, Approved Clinical Supervisor ) and is Licensed (Clinical Counselor and Psychologist). He is the author of over 250 refereed journal articles and scholarly presentations, and of nine books in his areas of expertise and has served the profession in various leadership roles, including as president of ASGW.
His specialties are group work, prevention, and consultation. His research and counseling interests include primary prevention, ecological counseling, group work, and retirement transitions. He received his doctorate from Purdue University.
