Dr. Ellen P. Cook is a professor in the Counseling Program. She received her doctorate in counseling psychology from the University of Iowa and has taught at the University of Cincinnati since 1978.
Dr. Cook's areas of specialization are gender issues, career development, spirituality, and mental health counseling. She has published two books and over 30 articles, chapters, integrative research reviews, and monographs on these topics, and has made over 30 presentations at international, national, and regional conferences. She is currently the associate editor of the Career Development Quarterly and is editing a casebook on gender and multicultural issues in career development. She has also been an editorial board member of six national professional journals and has performed numerous professional and community service activities. Dr. Cook is a Fellow of the Division of the Psychology of Women in the American Psychological Association, and a licensed psychologist and professional clinical counselor in Ohio.
