Dining Etiquette

Are you afraid you may embarrass yourself during meals with your supervisor or prospective employer? Do you have the appropriate table manners for the next professional meeting?

Don’t Worry! CSI is here to the rescue! The Cincinnati Sophomore Initiative (CSI) will help you figure out which knives, forks, and other utensils you should use at the next formal occasion. Whether it’s lunch with your employer or dinner with an alum, you’ll be prepared for any business or professional meeting. Do you know the correct answers to these questions?

  • Where should I place my napkin when sitting at the table?
  • Which fork should I use for dinner?
  • Why are there utensils across the top of my place setting?
  • Which glass is for water and which is for the other beverages?
  • When I leave the table, how will the server know I am finished?

If you don’t know all the answers, CSI will help you find the right answers.
