What is Administrative Management Technology: Web Page Management?
Web page management technology is a two-year associate of applied business degree program designed to prepare students to create, maintain and enhance Web pages. Graduates perform some or all of the following job duties:
- Design a Web page
- Manage a Web page on a daily basis
- Produce the content for a Web page
- Edit the content of a Web page
- Enhance a Web page with graphics and animation
- Connect Web pages to databases
- Increase the interactivity on a Web page
- Manage content requests and assist with publishing of content
- Coach employees in how to prepare documents for publishing
- Manage contractors and/or in-house programmers in performing advanced programming as needed
Success Factors
Students who are successful in this area are those who are highly skilled in Web development software and design capabilities. They work independently and are detailed oriented and creative.
Career Possibilities
The explosion of e-commerce and the increasing use of Web sites in business and industry have created a need for Web page management employees. Many positions are available for graduates of this program.
Majoring in Administrative Management Technology: Web Page Management
Classes at Raymond Walters College (RWC) are small, providing an atmosphere conducive to acquiring skills in Web page management. The college has excellent computer lab facilities for the exclusive use of RWC students. A full array of microcomputer systems and sophisticated software provide the equipment students need to work on their Web page course projects.

Special Programs
The program includes a paid internship component to give students on-the-job training related to course work. Students in the program will attend classes on a full-time basis and work in a Web page related position for 20 hours a week for one year. Through this program, students learn the fundamentals in class while gaining necessary real-world work experience.
