You are invited to join us for the 6th Annual University of Cincinnati Diversity Conference on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 from 8 AM - 5 PM on the 4th level of Tangeman University Center.
This conference is designed to highlight pedagogy, experiential knowledge and innovative practices that encourage individuals and organizations to build vibrant, diverse and inclusive environments. The conference features four concurrent sessions, the Marian Spencer Diversity Ambassador Awards Luncheon, and a closing reception. Luke Visconti, CEO of Diversity Inc., will deliver the keynote presentation entitled, "Cincinnati at a Crossroads and the Role of the University".
Visconti launched DiversityInc. as a website in 1997 and has guided it to be the leading publication for diversity, ranked No. 1 globally for total web traffic and social-media reach. Dr. Marian Spencer Diversity Ambassador Award Recipients
As a tribute to Dr. Marian Spencer ('42 A&S), we are pleased to celebrate and recognize the work of our students, faculty, staff, and organizations who continue her legacy of celebrating diversity, raising awareness, and building inclusive environments. This year's recipients are: Amara Agomuo (student), Dr. Velta Kelly Foster (staff), Sean Rugless (faculty), and UCIT (organization).
We are excited to announce a registration blitz for the conference. Registration is complimentary and on a first-come, first-serve basis for university employees and students. Please use the appropriate link below to register before the March 14 deadline. Please note: Registrants who are no-shows the day of the conference will be invoiced $50 to cover the associated expenses.
