USHINDI Cookout:

5 – 7pm, Sigma Sigma Commons

The African American Cultural & Resource Center annually celebrates our students academic and leadership excellence through the Ushindi which means “victory” in the Swahili language. The Ushindi Cookout will include delicious food, music and lots of fun. All are welcome!

Tacos on Tuesday

12 – 2pm, 555 Steger Student Life Center
Sponsor: Latinos en Accion and EPS

WorldFest and EPS presents “Tacos on Tuesday” for students to meet and network with the UC student body, key administrators and faculty. This event is designed to unite and educate students of diverse backgrounds to the rich and vibrant delicacies of the Hispanic culture.

Worldfest Opening Ceremony

4 – 6pm, TUC Great Hall

Join us as we fly around the globe for the official WorldFest Week Kick off! Food, entertainment, and fashion--this is an event you don’t want to miss!

Diversity Games

12 – 3pm, AACRC
Sponsor: African American Cultural Resource Center

The Diversity Games is a new event that is coming to the UC students, in order to make racial learning interactive, fun and competitive. The Diversity Games are simulated from the hit TV show, the amazing race. This event will be a way for students to interact with one another learn about the different racial organizations that UC has to offer and learn about different cultures. UC Dhadak will perform in the closing ceremony to kick of the rewards. The first team to fully complete all 30 games and proceeds to the end location is awarded one Nook per student. The 2nd and 3rd place teams will receive gift cards to the UC Bookstore. Through this event both students and organizations will benefit through networking interaction and knowledge. Let the games begin!
