The University of Cincinnati Evaluation Services Center offers a full range of services tailored to fit the unique evaluation, assessment and research needs of education and education-related human services organizations. Residing in the College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services (CECH), the Center works in partnership with college and university programs, schools and school districts, training and professional development providers, government agencies, community groups, and human services agencies to answer questions about programs, policies, projects, and services that address the needs of individuals, families, and communities.
The Evaluation Services Center performs or offers assistance with all forms of assessment, evaluation, and research, utilizing a variety of research tools to provide sound, efficient, and useful answers to questions about processes, contexts, and results or outcomes. We also work with educational and human services agencies to provide training and technical assistance to help programs plan for and build their own capacity for evaluation.
The Center is affiliated with a number of CECH and university programs, centers, and resources that extend our ability to address a wide variety of programmatic questions and concerns. We also have strong collaborative relationships with other evaluators and evaluation centers, expanding our capacity for larger-scale evaluations. A frequent partner is the Evaluation and Assessment Center for Mathematics and Science Education at Miami University.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to support, educate, and build the capacity of educational and human services programs to make data-based decisions for accountability, meaningful program improvement, and policy development.
