About Chef David Robinson

A native of New Zealand, our Executive Chef/General Manager David G. Robinson joined The Faculty Club team in 2011 with The Midwest Culinary Institute and took on the Club’s leadership role in early 2012. This follows a very successful 28 year career in the restaurant industry that began during high school and culminated at Cincinnati’s famed La Maisonette before spreading his wings and joining The Bay Tower Room in Boston as Executive Sous Chef. From Boston Chef Robinson then traveled to Washington DC where he played host to world leaders, Presidents and celebrities operating a 600 seat fine dining cruise ship …feeding as many as 2000 people a day while maintaining the highest quality standards. His career then took him back to New England where he successfully opened two restaurants before opening his own waterfront restaurant, The Wellington Room, featuring fine dining creative American cuisine and afternoon tea as well as homemade scones and curds. These same scones are now becoming a staple amongst our UC community.
