Primary Governance for University Faculty
The Faculty Senate is the primary governance body for University Faculty. Information on Faculty Handbooks, which play key roles in governance for faculty not represented by the AAUP, can be found here: http://www.uc.edu/hr/collective_bargaining_agreements/default.html
Faculty Senate’s role as the primary governance body for issues and faculty not covered by the contract is outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the University of Cincinnati and the American Association of University Professors, University of Cincinnati Chapter, 2007-2010.
27.2.7 With respect to Faculty priorities in those areas not specifically dealt with through the collective bargaining process, both parties to this Agreement recognize the Faculty Senate as the primary governance body representing the Faculty which shall have the right to advise the President and the Vice Presidents.
