A message from the Chair:
The University of Cincinnati has a strong history and commitment to shared governance, as evidenced by the University’s Integrated Decision-Making Process. The Faculty Senate is the primary governance body representing the University Faculty, and pursuant to rule 3361:50-3-01 of the Administrative Code, considers matters affecting the University and provides aid, advice, and counsel to the President, Vice Presidents, and Board of Trustees. Faculty Senate also works with both undergraduate and graduate student governance bodies on policy issues. There are many opportunities for faculty to become involved with Senate through Faculty and All-University Committees. The Faculty Senate web-site is designed to keep faculty informed of our activities and upcoming events. Faculty participation is highly valued. I look forward to meeting and working with you through the coming year.
