Chef Jonathan Hunt, a Cincinnati native, joined the University Dining Services team in 2011 as the new executive chef for Mick & Mack’s. A graduate of the Midwest Culinary Institute at Cincinnati State, Jonathan has worked in various kitchens throughout the Cincinnati area including Jeff Ruby’s Carlo & Johnny and most recently as the executive chef at Mariemont’s Quarter Bistro, where he was praised for his noteworthy seasonal menus. He has been featured in Carnegie’s Art of Food Exhibition, showcasing local culinary artists and restaurants, and has been reviewed in Cincinnati Magazine. Jonathan enjoys creating food with great flavor and texture and has added his unique culinary twist to Mick & Mack’s menu.

In 2011, Mick & Mack’s Contemporary Café was awarded the Bronze Loyal. E Horton Dining Award for Retail Sales from the National Association of College & University Food Services (NACUFS). The Horton Award annual competition is competitive and celebrates exemplary menus in campus dining services. This is the second Horton award that Mick & Mack’s has won since opening in 2004.
Monthly Wine Tasting Events
The first Thursday of every month from 5–7 p.m., with the first wine and hors d'oeuvres served at 5:30 p.m.
