With the successful completion of this campaign, private support will:
Complete the construction of the Henry R. Winkler Center for the History of the Health Professions on the R level of the Medical Sciences Building to provide an environmentally sound home for the Center’s valuable and sometimes fragile books, archives, medical artifacts, and paintings, and create additional exhibit areas, a location for the Center’s popular oral history series, and work space for researchers. (Note: This funding goal has been achieved.)
Increase the endowment for the Henry R. Winkler Center for the History of the Health Professions to fund a full-time professional archivist/historian and operating and program expenses.
Major donors to the Henry R. Winkler Center for the History of the Health Professions will have an opportunity to:
- Name and endow the Archivist position
- Name the Entire Wing for Collections, Gallery, and Research
- Name the Center’s Books & Archives Collections Room
- Name the Archival Services Room
- Name the Center’s Oral History Series
