On Saturday, October 25, 2008 the University of Cincinnati began the public phase of the largest fundraising campaign in UC's history.
Proudly Cincinnati set a goal of $1 billion to support UC’s vision of becoming the finest public research university in the country and a major player on the world stage.
In June 2009, Proudly Cincinnati topped $500 million, halfway to its goal.
On Wednesday, February 20, 2013, the University of Cincinnati reached its billion-dollar milestone and joined only one percent of U.S. colleges and universities in this tremendous achievement.
UC President Santa Ono has announced a short-term goal to secure 100,000 Proudly Cincinnati donors by campaign's end on June 30, 2013. More than 91,000 donors have already helped UC reach the billion-dollar milestone four months early. Will you help take the University the rest of the way?
The $1 billion milestone will be remembered as a significant part of UC's history.
