The University of Cincinnati Foundation is the private sector fund-raising entity for the University of Cincinnati and its campuses, colleges, departments and units. The Foundation is charged to encourage philanthropy for the University and to secure and steward contributions in support of UC's education, research and service goals.

Student Internship - Finance

We are currently in need of a Student Intern in the area of Finance. This is a part-time, paid student position from May 1, 2014 to April 30, 2015 and may be renewed for an additional one-year period, based on position availability, performance and student status. This position is not an academic internship and does not provide credit toward a degree.

Ideal candidates:

  • Currently enrolled at UC Main Campus with an above average grade point; preference for junior or senior status.
  • Computer experience necessary. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
  • Requires a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Good work ethic and dedication to successfully completing tasks on time.

We are currently in need of a Student Intern in the area of Foundation Board Relations. This is a part-time, paid student position from May 1, 2014 to April 30, 2015 and may be renewed for an additional one-year period, based on position availability, performance and student status. This position is not an academic internship and does not provide credit toward a degree.

Ideal candidates:

  • Currently enrolled at UC Main Campus with an above average grade point; preference for junior or senior status.
  • Preferred majors include public relations, communications, marketing or public policy, particularly someone with an interest in a career in higher education.
  • Computer experience necessary, specifically experience with Microsoft Office products.
  • Demonstrated leadership and university involvement is preferred.
  • Requires a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written as well as strong interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels both within and outside the University.
  • Good work ethic and dedication to successfully completing tasks on time.
  • Strong organizational skills with a detail orientation and the ability to work independently.

University of Cincinnati Foundation - Fellowship Program

The UCF Fellowship Program is an outgrowth of the UCF Student Internship Program and is open only to students who have successfully completed a UCF student internship.

This program provides the opportunity for the Foundation and the selected student intern to continue a mutually beneficial employment relationship following graduation.  The fellowship position is two years in duration.
