Development Officer, New York City Area - Regional Development Program
The Development Officer is responsible for building and managing a portfolio of prospects with gift potential at the $50,000+ level through discovery, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship calls in the NYC area. This position works in close partnership with other UCF college, unit and central development staff and requires travel as needed.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5 years or more of progressively responsible fundraising experience
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- Ability to interact favorably with a diverse group of individuals
- Must be willing to travel and attend evening and weekend activities as needed
- A commitment to and passion for the role of development in furthering the mission of the University of Cincinnati is essential
- NYC area based University of Cincinnati graduate in development or related field a plus

Senior Director of Development, College of Engineering and Applied Science
This position has direct responsibility for planning, implementing and managing fundraising initiatives for the College of Engineering and Applied Science, with primary responsibility for major gift fundraising.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Bachelor’s degree

- Record of successful major gift solicitation and closure ($100K level and above)

Director of Development, College of Medicine
We are currently seeking a Director of Development to join our active fundraising team for the College of Medicine.
The Director of Development for the College of Medicine is responsible for planning, implementing and managing the fundraising for specific programs in the College of Medicine. Heavy emphasis will be placed on developing relationships with College of Medicine alumni, faculty, grateful patients and community partners in an effort to secure funding to support the college’s academic mission. Areas of focus include:
- Medical Alumni
- Basic Science Departments
- Family and Community Medicine

Ideal candidates will have:

Director of Development, University of Cincinnati Libraries
This position has direct responsibility for activities related to fundraising and solicitation of special and major gifts for UC Libraries and be one of the key positions in supporting the Dean and University Librarian’s visionary strategic plan to transform the UC Libraries to a nationally and internationally recognized 21st century research library system.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Bachelor’s degree and three to five years of successful major gift fundraising experience, preferably in higher education.
- Experience with comprehensive and capital fundraising campaigns and demonstrated effectiveness in fundraising planning.
- Possess ability to maintain confidentiality and work with the highest degree of professionalism; excellent oral and written communication skills; and the ability to think and plan strategically.
- Must be willing to travel as needed.
- Capable of building strong relationships.
- Demonstrable success in cultivating, soliciting, and closing major gifts from local, regional, and national prospects.
- Ability to build and sustain collaborative working relationships with leaders of the libraries’ departments and campus academic units
Preferred qualifications:
- Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Possess knowledge and understanding of the unique role of research libraries in the 21st century higher education ecosystem and in the context of a major research university.
- Ability to provide strategic planning assistance to the Dean and University Librarian, with focus on development strategies.
- Experience in performing successfully in a matrix management, dual-reporting relationship.
