Development

Development Officer, New York City Area - Regional Development Program

The Development Officer is responsible for building and managing a portfolio of prospects with gift potential at the $50,000+ level through discovery, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship calls in the NYC area.  This position works in close partnership with other UCF college, unit and central development staff and requires travel as needed.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 years or more of progressively responsible fundraising experience
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact favorably with a diverse group of individuals
  • Must be willing to travel and attend evening and weekend activities as needed
  • A commitment to and passion for the role of development in furthering the mission of the University of Cincinnati is essential 
  • NYC area based University of Cincinnati graduate in development or related field a plus

Director of Development, College of Medicine

We are currently seeking a Director of Development to join our active fundraising team for the College of Medicine.

The Director of Development for the College of Medicine is responsible for planning, implementing and managing the fundraising for specific programs in the College of Medicine. Heavy emphasis will be placed on developing relationships with College of Medicine alumni, faculty, grateful patients and community partners in an effort to secure funding to support the college’s academic mission. Areas of focus include:

  • Medical Alumni
  • Basic Science Departments
  • Family and Community Medicine
  • Geriatric Medicine
  • Integrative Health and Wellness 
  • Pathology and Laboratory Medicine
  • Other College of Medicine Departments, Divisions or Programs in need of support

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Minimum requirement of a Bachelor’s degree with a preference of an advanced degree. 
  • 3-5 years of progressively responsible fundraising experience, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting. 
  • Understanding of basic scientific principles. 
  • Candidates should possess strong written and interpersonal communication skills.

Associate Director, Corporation and Foundation Relations

This position has responsibility for planning, implementing and evaluating fundraising efforts which identify, cultivate and solicit corporations to obtain funds for both ongoing and special projects at the University of Cincinnati.

This position works closely with the Director of Events and has key responsibilities related to all aspects of event and office management.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
