The Charles McMicken Society honors the University of Cincinnati’s most important donors and connects them more strongly with UC and with each other. Charles McMicken bequeathed to Cincinnati his land and personal effects – with an estimated value of $900,000 – to establish an “institution of higher learning.”
McMicken’s foresight in education directly led to the creation of the University of Cincinnati. McMicken Society members share Charles McMicken’s foresight, making it possible for the university to be recognized as one of the finest public research universities of the 21st century.
