The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) is recognized both nationally and internationally as one of the leading conservatories of the performing and media arts. CCM offers the benefit of a professional training conservatory within the setting of a comprehensive public university. Annually, CCM produces over 1,000 recitals and full scale productions and has the largest single source of performances in Ohio. Over 10,000 graduates have achieved notable success internationally.
CCM provides life-changing experiences within a highly creative and multidisciplinary artistic environment.
Dean's Innovation Fund
The Dean’s Innovation Fund provides flexible funding to implement innovative ideas and fund the highest priority needs such as travel for faculty and student endeavors, investing in technologically advanced equipment, and special inter-divisional and collaborative projects that support the core educational, performance and research missions of CCM.
Talent-based scholarships, particularly for undergraduate students, are one of the Dean's highest funding priorities. These funds would be directed to recruit the most talented students to CCM who demonstrate the greatest artistic potential and promise and who have the highest standards of excellence.
CCM's community engagement initiative is a catalyst to prioritize and award funds for music educational activities that serve at risk or under-served populations and geographies in the Greater Cincinnati area. These relationships are in association with CCM graduates who are leading community non-profit programs and current CCM students and faculty.
Ariel String Quartet
In January 2012 the Ariel String Quartet was named quartet-in-residence at CCM. Funds directed for this priority will permanently support a resident string quartet and enable CCM to fulfill its mission of educating and inspiring young musicians and serve as a destination by presenting the finest chamber music performances to audiences from the region and beyond.
Friends of CCM
For almost 50 years, The Friends of CCM have provided critical support to sustain the legacy of CCM as one of America’s leading conservatories. With approximately 600 members and an active board that raises over $300,000 annually, there are several levels of membership along with special benefits depending on commitment.
