Matching Gifts

A matching gift is a charitable donation made toward a non-profit organization by a company or its affiliated foundation under the provision that an individual first makes a gift toward that organization.

Matching gift programs are a tremendous opportunity to double, or even triple, the impact of your gift!

For example, a donor who works for a company with a matching gift program, decides to make a $100 gift to the University of Cincinnati. The donor’s company will match the $100 gift to the university, for a total of $200.

Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions made by their employees to the University of Cincinnati.

Once you’ve found your company, click on company name to be directed to a matching gift form or further instructions from the company. Some companies match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses, so don’t forget to check your spouse’s employer as well!

Include the form with your donation, via the website or mail. We’ll do the rest.

Thank you for supporting UC!
