Marjorie Motch knows the importance of asking. She has done so to raise financial support for many charitable organizations, both in Cincinnati and on the national level.
So when she was asked by the UC Foundation's Office of Gift Planning to include the University in her own charitable giving plans, the decision was an easy one. Marjorie named UC as one of the beneficiaries of her charitable remainder unitrust. By doing this, she arranged to give to UC while receiving income over her lifetime.
"Why do I give to UC? Quite simply, because I love the University," the Arts & Sciences alumna says. "I stay very involved, and answer needs through my volunteer and financial support." Marjorie's commitment shows through her involvement in many University areas, from serving as a UC Foundation Board member to supporting the University Commons and Campus Greenspace initiative.
Marjorie's unitrust will provide unrestricted support, allowing University leadership to apply the money to areas with the greatest need. She hopes that if potential donors see the impact of her gifts, they will realize that they too can support UC while accomplishing their own financial goals.
