Guidelines and Terms of Use

The University of Cincinnati Foundation maintains several Proudly Cincinnati official pages and profiles on various social networks to enable you to easily connect and communicate with the university's primary fundraising foundation.

The success of our online communities depends on your participation, so please feel free to join in and contribute to the conversations!

Please be aware that the UC Foundation staff closely monitors posts and comments made within our social media communities, so be mindful of the following guidelines while participating:

  • Respect Others
    Sexist, racist and other discriminatory comments or images will be removed immediately. Users are free to discuss topics and disagree with another, but please be respectful of others' opinions. Personal attacks directed toward other fans or members will not be tolerated.

  • Keep It Clean
    Do not post offensive, vulgar, profane, or sexually explicit language or photos - such posts will be removed immediately. Threats of any kind will not be tolerated. Violators of this rule will be removed from the group or page immediately, and all of his or her other UCF social media privileges will be revoked.

  • Keep Your Contact Information to Yourself
    For your own safety and security, please refrain from posting any personal contact information (home phone numbers, mailing addresses, personal email addresses, etc.).

  • Don’t SPAM
    We encourage you to use our social media as a platform to share information about yourself and your achievements. However, commercial advertisements, solicitations, business advertisements and promotions are not allowed on any of the main groups, except on the Alumni's LinkedIn Business and Networking Subgroup, which exists solely for this purpose.

  • Stay on Topic
    We encourage open discussion among our followers; however, we reserve the right to remove postings that are deemed irrelevant or inappropriate for the UC community at our discretion, and at any time.

PLEASE NOTE: UCF reserves the right to terminate a users' group or page membership, participation and/or privileges, and to delete unacceptable posts and comments at our sole discretion - for any reason, at any time. We WILL remove and block users found to be in violation of these social media guidelines.
