Patty Brisben Foundation Grants $180,000 to UC College of Medicine

Funds to support women’s sexual health initiatives

Pink decorations and warm hearts filled the room on Valentine’s Day to celebrate the opening of a downtown Cincinnati headquarters for local company, Pure Romance. But that’s not the only thing the crowd was celebrating.

The Patty Brisben Foundation, started by the founder of Pure Romance, presented an over-sized check for more than $180,000 to the UC Foundation to support women’s sexual health initiatives. The funds, which were granted to UC throughout the last two years, support research and patient care initiatives for the UC College of Medicine.

Some of the funds from the Patty Brisben Foundation support the UC Health Women’s Center to educate women about sexual health in the doctor’s office. In addition, these funds support a post-graduate fellowship training program in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REO) for UC College of Medicine graduates.
