Challenges, contests, prizes and fun motivate others to give
CINCINNATI, May 16, 2011 - Nearly 3,000 employees have supported this year’s university-wide Faculty/Staff Giving Campaign, just 300 donors short of establishing a new participation record! Since schedules get hectic this time of year between holidays, finals and fiscal year-end responsibilities, employees are urged to give now and be counted in this year’s effort.
Simply visit www.uc.edu/impact and choose the program or area of UC you want to strengthen with your gift. New this year, you can select payroll deduction to make your gift.
There are many compelling reasons to get involved, but a number of first-time donors have given because of unique challenges posed by their college deans. UC Clermont Dean Greg Sojka started off the 2011 campaign by challenging Clermont employees to achieve a 66% participation rate – promising to shave his head if they could make the leap by February 28.
