University of Cincinnati Bearcats Rally on the Square

Bearcats Rally on the Square
Rally brings UC football to center of Downtown Cincinnati

CINCINNATI, August 26, 2010 - The University of Cincinnati is bringing the excitement of this year’s UC football season to the Center of Downtown Cincinnati with Bearcats Rally on the Square on September 24, beginning at 11:30 a.m. The Fountain Square rally benefits UC students’ Proudly Pennies campaign and precedes Saturday’s football game against Oklahoma at Paul Brown Stadium.

Join UC alumni, friends and fans at downtown’s Fountain Square to celebrate the many reasons to be Proudly Cincinnati. UC President Gregory H. Williams, Head Football Coach Butch Jones and Voice of the Bearcats Dan Hoard will participate in a brief program at noon.

Select members from the UC football team will be available to sign autographs and pose for photos. Fans will also have the opportunity to play games, win Bearcat prizes and meet the Bearcat mascot, UC Cheerleaders, the UC Dance team, the UC Marching Band and Lucy, the ”Bearcat” from the Cincinnati Zoo.

There is no cost to attend, but donations will be accepted to support Proudly Pennies, UC students’ philanthropic effort to raise one billion pennies – $10 million – for the university. All donors will be eligible to win an autographed team helmet, four tickets to the September 25 Oklahoma game or an 8-foot inflatable Bearcat.

Click here to make a $20 donation to Proudly Pennies now through Thursday, September 23, and we’ll show our appreciation with a coupon for 2 FREE Skyline Chili cheese coneys, redeemable at the rally.

Attendees may RSVP for the rally via the Proudly Cincinnati Facebook event page.
