Though the Proudly Cincinnati campaign has surpassed its billion-dollar goal four months ahead of schedule, there’s still more work to do. Proudly Cincinnati has made a major impact on the University of Cincinnati, but the billion dollars is just the beginning of UC’s fundraising ambitions.

The Proudly Cincinnati campaign will continue its focus for the remainder of the campaign on the university’s strategic plan, which centers around the transformative power of higher education. The campaign will endeavor to support the university’s overarching goals, raising funds for projects that will continue to transform lives through scholarships, endowed chairs, and facility improvements.

In addition to the striving after the goals outlined in UC’s strategic plan, President Ono announced a new goal to reach 100,000 donors by the end of the campaign in June 2013.

Continued contributions to UC through Proudly Cincinnati will have transformative effects on UC’s future. Private support:

• Transforms the lives of students who may not have been able to attend college.  
  
  
• Enhances the quality of life for our families, city and region through the highest caliber health care programs.
  
  
• Enables facility upgrades to enhance the UC experience and provides students with a learning environment suitable for the 21^st century.
  
  
• Funds new professorships and endowed chairs, strengthening education and research by recruiting and retaining premier faculty, doctors and researchers.
