Founded on four pillars: Traditions, Connections, Service, and Academics. With 2009 being the 8th year for the program, 60 first-year students and 20 Omicron Delta Kappa Upperclassmen have the oppertunity to participate.

LC Olympics

Ongoing first-year student involvement opportunities:

Emerging Ethnic Leaders
This program is designed to enhance and develop first year students of color in the following areas: leadership skills, ethical and moral development, social awareness and responsibility.  The goal of the program is to provide opportunities and knowledge that will further enhance students’ campus involvement, as well as to introduce participants to other students and campus administrators.

SG Intern Program
The main goal for the First Year Internship Program is to prepare freshman students for future leadership roles and involvement on campus. This program is collaboration between the Undergraduate Student Government and the office of Student Activities and Leadership Development, giving freshman students the opportunity to get involved early and develop an understanding of how Student Government operates at the University of Cincinnati.

Students chosen will develop their leadership abilities and given the chance to participate in a mentorship program with several current Student Government leaders. The internship program will host weekly meetings. These meetings will include guest speakers, leadership development, Student Government workshops, and a chance for freshman to meet many of their peers.

Future Greek Leaders
Every chapter's new member class elects representatives to the Future Greek Leaders Council. This council is a group whose main goal is to acquaint new members to the Greek Community.  Advised by the Tri Council Executive Board, FGLC is reflective of the Tri Council by organizing activities, fundraisers, community service and philanthropic projects, and social events. New members are better prepared to serve as leaders in their chapters and/or other student involvement opportunities. FGLC often serves as a gateway to involvement in the Tri Council Executive Boards.

SALD Involvement Presentations
The office of SALD provides opportunities to connect with academic units as a way to provide first year students an opportunity to learn about various co-curricular activities.  The office provides 45 minutes presentations/workshops to introduce students to student organizations, fraternity and sorority life and various leadership opportunities
