First-Year Experience

Orientation

Bearcat Bound Orientation is a comprehensive two-day program for new students entering each fall and their families to welcome them to the University of Cincinnati.  During the Bearcat Bound Orientation new students will learn policies, procedures and graduation requirements for their specific programs.  They will receive academic advice and register for their first semester's classes.  In addition, students also have the opportunity to:

• Pre-order textbooks
• Hear about various student groups and learning opportunities
• Meet other first-year students
• Become acquainted with UC’s dynamic campus
• Get a taste of the area around UC

All new freshman are required to attend orientation before their first semester of classes. There is a dedicated orientation program for students entering spring or summer terms. Students will not be able to register or their classes until their orientation attendance requirement is met.
