Dear U.C. Geology Alumnus,
Welcome back. Our job here is to keep you and your colleagues informed
on events and activities in the department since you left. And how do
we do that? Several ways. First, there is the annual newsletter, which
is sent out usually in late June each year. If you don’t receive
a copy please let me know your preferred mailing address and I will see
that you receive a copy. Second, we sponsor alumni gatherings at major
conferences and conventions. We focus mainly on the GSA Annual Meeting
but we also try to include AGU and AAPG meetings. And third, we sponsor
periodic field trips and activities, such as the annual 4-day field trip,
to which alumni are invited.
Do you wonder what other former
students are up to? Do you have any interesting stories of former students?
We'd like to hear from you. Others would like to hear from you as well.
Even our current or prospective students would like to hear what life
is like in the “real world” after UC.
