Yucatan Field Trip: Legacies and Landscapes of Yucatan
“Legacies and Landscapes of Yucatan” is a 3 credit freshmen seminar/field trip for autumn quarter, 2007. However, all interested students can participate by signing up under other courses (i.e. Geog. 550).
The class will meet once a week culminating with a field trip to Yucatan, Mexico that begins during winter break (we depart the last day of final exams-Sat. Dec. 8th).
An objective of the class is to introduce students to different fields of study. Thus the trip may stimulate interest in a variety of majors as exemplified by Anthropology, Archaeology, Geography, Geology, Architecture, Urban Planning, Spanish, History, Political Science, and Latin American Studies, etc.
