This program examines the origins and nature of the university, arts and music, society, and the city environment in historic Italy.
UC professors will lead students in exploring culture and history at the site of the oldest university in Western civilization and in such inspirational cities as Florence, Siena, Bologna, Milan, and Venice.
Participation is limited to 30 students, all of whom must enroll in a 4-credit course spring quarter. This course fulfills General Education requirements in Fine Arts or Diversity & Culture.
