For the coming year, we expect to enroll 20 students in our course on International Construction in Ireland. As these students graduate from our programs in Construction Science they will join a major segment of the U.S. economy that is increasingly experiencing the effects of globalization. McGraw-Hill lists the 225 top U.S. construction firms doing business abroad and 150 design firms with international practices. However, this is only the tip of the iceberg. Even small design and construction firms may have some international exposure from foreign clients or projects in contiguous territories or countries, such as Puerto Rico, Canada, Mexico, or the Caribbean.
