Piano Study Abroad

Piano Study Abroad is a combination of 2 festivals:  The Amalfi Coast Music and Arts Festival and International Piano Week of Belgium.

Each festival has an established reputation and is represented by some of the leading piano teachers in the world.  In 2000, Eugene and Elizabeth Pridonoff began an association with the Prague International Masterclasses and in 2003 were invited to join International Piano Week of Belgium.  In 2005, they were invited to join the faculties of the Amalfi Coast faculty.  In 2003, CCM Summer Sessions agreed to offer courses for our students to take that would encourage these experiences.  In addition to regular piano lessons, each festival has discussion groups to deal with topics from career development, performance anxiety, and the history and legacy of the great piano teachers.  While it would be possible to organize such festivals in the United States, the stated purpose is for students to have a cultural as well as professional experience in Europe where western music was born.
