Talent contests, tug-o-wars, a pie-in-the face and the ever-popular belly-flop competition are on tap for an action-packed Greek Week. The antics are a school-spirited sight on college campuses across the country every spring, but at UC, as they celebrate community on campus with colorful competitions, UC’s fraternities and sororities also will compete in support of the Greater Cincinnati community.

About American Cancer Society
For over 100 years, the American Cancer Society has been a global leader in the fight against cancer. Since the early 1900s, they have contributed to a 20% decline in cancer death rates. There are now more than 14 million cancer survivors in the U.S. alone and 66% of people diagnosed with cancer reach the five-year survival mark. In 2013, the National Cancer Information Center, supported by American Cancer Society, assisted over 2800 patients and caregivers in the Greater Cincinnati area. Patient navigators answered 707 services requests and the transportation assistance program fulfilled 598 requests for transportation.
2014 GREEK WEEK: March 30th - April 5th
Greek Week 2014 will host a variety of fundraising and service events to benefit the American Cancer Society. UC’s Greek organizations will compete to raise $50,000 to benefit the American Cancer Society and will assemble cancer kits and decorate luminaria during an evening of service on April 3rd.
ALL ARE INVITED to attend the first ever Greek Week Variety Show, it will be at 5/3 Arena on Wednesday, April 2nd at 7:00pm. Doors open at 6:30. The "price" of admission will be a donation to the American Cancer Society's Hope Lodge in Cincinnati. Please click here for a list of donation items for the Hope Lodge.
