Greek Life

Why Go Greek?

Fraternity is understanding, it is recognition, it is joining with men and women, in common enterprises, it is a willingness to share and to participate, it is discipline. It is selflessness. It is these things and many more. It is above all an attitude.

The fraternity and sorority experience complements academics, career development, family, and friends. Fraternities and sororities are values-based organizations focused on creating an environment for you to become a better person.

You’ll connect with thousands of other students looking to get the most out of their college experience. You’ll have fun; a lot of fun. But you’ll also gain skills to better balance your time between work and play. You’ll give back to the campus and community. You’ll want to come back after you’ve graduated. Joining a fraternity or sorority is a lifelong experience.

Sorority Life

Buying your friends? No way. The cost of 4 year membership in a fraternity or sorority house is competitive, if not cheaper, than simply living in the residence halls.

Hazing? Not tolerated. Hazing is a criminal offense in Ohio and is prohibited at the university. Joining a fraternity or sorority is an opportunity to surround yourself with people whom you respect and admire, and who treat you with respect.

Fraternity and Sorority Life embraces diversity and inclusion. We promote full participation and access without regard to race, ethnicity, gender, age, disability status, socioeconomic status, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion and regional or national origin.
