Dr. Andrew Filak is a family medicine physician who was named Educator of the Year in 2003 by the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians. He graduated from George Washington University School of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences in Washington, D.C and completed his residency at UC in 1981. In addition to his role as Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Filak is also the Chair of the Graduate Medical Education Committee.
