Andrea Knittel is a 4th year MD/PhD student at the University of Michigan Medical School and the University of Michigan School of Public Health. She
holds a BS in Spanish and Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Michigan. Her primary research interests are prison health and HIV. Ms. Knittel's focus is on social determinants of disease at the population level, and particularly on the effects of intersections between sex, race, and social class on sexual health.
